THE Lomax team has added another major business award to its collection by achieving a coveted Regional Training Award.
For the second year in a row, the company has reached the final of the Journal Business Awards.

The Regional Training Award was achieved after the company demonstrated its commitment not just to delivering quality training for its growing list of clients, but for investing in its own staff training and development.

Lomax was recognised for having a major impact on the labour market in the North East by helping hundreds of people become gas engineers and retraining thousands more.

Fragmentation of the gas industry in the 1990s resulted in a considerable reduction in training capacity and the industry, facing a loss of skilled people, was crying out for the services Lomax now provides.

"Clear identification of the market and comprehensive partnership working has delivered expedential growth and a commitment to quality with amazing results," said Managing Director Jim Lomax.

"More than 2,500 individuals have been through our training centres with most returning with repeat business. It's great for the team to be recognised with this latest award."

LTS already has Investor in People and ISO 2001 Quality Management awards and the IIP Silver Award for Outstanding Practice for New Business.
