NEW NRSWA COURSES AT LOMAX'S HOWDON UTILITIES CENTRE - Posted 26th May 2006.
In response to the demand of Highway Workers, Tyneside based Lomax Training Services are offering 5 days New Road and Street Works Act (NRSWA) course for both Operative and Supervisor levels at their purpose-built Howdon Utilities Training Centre.
NRSWA is important for anyone who's working in the public utilities, i.e. gas, water, electric. The main objectives for this course are
l Ensure safety whilst working in the Highway
l Minimise inconvenience to people using the highway, with a specific reference to people with a disability
l Protect the structure of the highway and the apparatus in it
The NRSWA qualification ensures that operatives and supervisors are competent to work in the highway.
The programme is made up of theory and practical training over 5 days. For the course starting 5th June the closing date is 2nd June. Please contact Aggie on 0191 2623040.
