  • Only company shortlisted for two awards by Northern Offshore Federation - NOF Business of the Year and Training Award ISO9001 retained
February
  • Won Silver Award for Outstanding Practice in the New Business category by Investors in People (IIP).

  • First unemployed people awarded Gas Network Operations NVQ1 and the New Roads and Streetworks Act certificate
April
  • Agreement reached to lease premises at Howdon for new Utilities Training Centre
June
  • New courses for ACS Re-Assessment Programme and unvented
  • Domestic How Water Systems introduced
November
  • Howdon Utilities Training Centre opened on Tyneside
December
  • Alan Erridge, an employee of HSS at Cramlington and one of the first apprentices to complete the three-year course is Apprentice of the Year
